This is the way the Lord has dealt with me in the days when He looked
with favor

me,
to take away my disgrace among people.'

Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee named Nazareth,

to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
