But He said to them, 'Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not

when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.'

And He told them a parable, saying, 'The land of a rich man was very productive.

And he began thinking to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

He then told them, "Watch out and be on guard against all greed, because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions."

Then he told them a parable: "A rich man’s land was very productive.

He thought to himself, ‘What should I do, since I don’t have anywhere to store my crops?

Then he said, 'Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.'

Then he told them a story: 'A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops.

He said to himself, ‘What should I do? I don’t have room for all my crops.’
