Chapter 5

16For this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on a Sabbath. 17But He answered them, 'My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.'

16And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. 17But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

Chapter 5

16Therefore, the Jews began persecuting Jesus because he was doing these things on the Sabbath.
17Jesus responded to them, "My Father is still working, and I am working also."
