So the sisters sent

to Him, saying, 'Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.'

He said, 'This sickness is not meant for death, but

for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.'

Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

So the sisters sent a message to him: "Lord, the one you love is sick."

When Jesus heard it, he said, "This sickness will not end in death but is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it."

So the two sisters sent a message to Jesus telling him, 'Lord, your dear friend is very sick.'

But when Jesus heard about it he said, 'Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.'

But when Jesus heard it he said, "This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it."
