Isaiah 64:7-10
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 64
7There is no one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself to take hold of You; For You have hidden Your face from us And have surrendered us to the power of our wrongdoings. 8But now, Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay, and You our potter, And all of us are the work of Your hand. 9Do not be angry beyond measure, Lord, Nor remember wrongdoing forever. Behold, please look, all of us are Your people. 10Your holy cities have become a wilderness, Zion has become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.King James Version
Chapter 64
7And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. 8But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand. 9Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people. 10Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 64
7No one calls on your name, striving to take hold of you. For you have hidden your face from us and made us melt because of our iniquity. 8Yet Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we all are the work of your hands. 9Lord, do not be terribly angry or remember our iniquity forever. Please look--all of us are your people! 10Your holy cities have become a wilderness; Zion has become a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.New Living Translation
8And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.
9Don’t be so angry with us, Lord. Please don’t remember our sins forever. Look at us, we pray, and see that we are all your people.
10Your holy cities are destroyed. Zion is a wilderness; yes, Jerusalem is a desolate ruin.
