Isaiah 53:1-2
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 53
1
Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the
Lord
been revealed?
2
For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,
And like a root out of dry ground;
He has no
stately
form or majesty
That we would look at Him,
Nor an appearance that we would take pleasure in Him.
King James Version
Chapter 53
1
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him,
there is
no beauty that we should desire him.
Christian Standard Bible

New Living Translation

Who has believed our message?
To whom has the
Lord

2
My servant grew up in the
Lord
’s presence like a tender green shoot,
like a root in dry ground.
There was nothing beautiful or majestic about his appearance,
nothing to attract us to him.
