Isaiah 52:10-14
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 52
10
The
Lord
has bared His holy arm
In the sight of all the nations,
So that all the ends of the earth may see
The salvation of our God.
11
Depart, depart, go out from there,
Do not touch what is unclean;
Go out of the midst of her, purify yourselves,
You who carry the vessels of the
Lord
.
12
But you will not go out in a hurry,
Nor will you go as fugitives;
For the
Lord
will go before you,
And the God of Israel
will be
your rear guard.
13
Behold, My Servant will prosper,
He will be high and lifted up and greatly exalted.
14
Just as many were appalled at you,
My people,
So His appearance was marred beyond
that of a
man,
And His form beyond the sons of mankind.
King James Version
Chapter 52
10
The
Lord
hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
11
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the
Lord
.
12
For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the
Lord
will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your rereward.
13
Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.
14
As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 52
10
The
Lord
has displayed his holy arm
in the sight of all the nations;
all the ends of the earth will see
the salvation of our God.
11
Leave, leave, go out from there!
Do not touch anything unclean;
go out from her, purify yourselves,
you who carry the vessels of the
Lord
.
12
For you will not leave in a hurry,
and you will not have to take flight;
because the
Lord
is going before you,
and the God of Israel is your rear guard.
13
See, my servant will be successful;
he will be raised and lifted up and greatly exalted.
14
Just as many were appalled at you —
his appearance was so disfigured
that he did not look like a man,
and his form did not resemble a human being—
New Living Translation
Chapter 52
10
The
Lord
has demonstrated his holy power
before the eyes of all the nations.
All the ends of the earth will see
the victory of our God.
11
Get out! Get out and leave your captivity,
where everything you touch is unclean.
Get out of there and purify yourselves,
you who carry home the sacred objects of the
Lord
.
12
You will not leave in a hurry,
running for your lives.
For the
Lord
will go ahead of you;
yes, the God of Israel will protect you from behind.
13
See, my servant will prosper;
he will be highly exalted.
14
But many were amazed when they saw him.
His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human,
and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man.
