Who proceed down to Egypt
Without consulting Me,
To take refuge in the safety of Pharaoh,
And to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!

Therefore the safety of Pharaoh will be your shame,
And the shelter in the shadow of Egypt, your humiliation.

That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt

Without asking my advice they set out to go down to Egypt in order to seek shelter under Pharaoh's protection and take refuge in Egypt's shadow.

But Pharaoh's protection will become your shame, and refuge in Egypt's shadow your humiliation.
New Living Translation
Chapter 30

For without consulting me,
you have gone down to Egypt for help.
You have put your trust in Pharaoh’s protection.
You have tried to hide in his shade.

But by trusting Pharaoh, you will be humiliated,
and by depending on him, you will be disgraced.

who set out to go down to Egypt, without asking for my direction, to take refuge in the protection of Pharaoh and to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!

Therefore shall the protection of Pharaoh turn to your shame, and the shelter in the shadow of Egypt to your humiliation.

who go down to Egypt without consulting me; who look for help to Pharaoh's protection, to Egypt's shade for refuge.
