Hebrews 13:6-23

Chapter 13
6so that we confidently say, 'THE Lord IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?'
7Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their way of life, imitate their faith.
8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever.
9Do not be misled by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.
10We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.
11For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the Holy Place by the high priest as an offering for sin are burned outside the camp.
12Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, that He might sanctify the people through His own blood.
13So then, let us go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach.
14For here we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking the city which is to come.
15Through Him then, let’s continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips praising His name.
16And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
18Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things.
19And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you more quickly.
20Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, that is, Jesus our Lord,
21equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

6So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. 7Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. 8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 9Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. 10We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. 11For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. 12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 13Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. 14For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. 15By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 16But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. 17Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
18Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
19But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
20Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
22And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
23Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

6Therefore, we may boldly say,The Lord is my helper;I will not be afraid.What can man do to me?
7Remember your leaders who have spoken God's word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith.
8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
9Don't be led astray by various kinds of strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established by grace and not by food regulations, since those who observe them have not benefited.
10We have an altar from which those who worship at the tabernacle do not have a right to eat.
11For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the most holy place by the high priest as a sin offering are burned outside the camp.
12Therefore, Jesus also suffered outside the gate, so that he might sanctify the people by his own blood.
13Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing his disgrace.
14For we do not have an enduring city here; instead, we seek the one to come.
15Therefore, through him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.
16Don't neglect to do what is good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.
17Obey your leaders and submit to them, since they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
18Pray for us, for we are convinced that we have a clear conscience, wanting to conduct ourselves honorably in everything.
19And I urge you all the more to pray that I may be restored to you very soon.
20Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus--the great Shepherd of the sheep--through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21equip you with everything good to do his will, working in us what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

8Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
9So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace, not from rules about food, which don’t help those who follow them.
10We have an altar from which the priests in the Tabernacle have no right to eat.
11Under the old system, the high priest brought the blood of animals into the Holy Place as a sacrifice for sin, and the bodies of the animals were burned outside the camp.
12So also Jesus suffered and died outside the city gates to make his people holy by means of his own blood.
13So let us go out to him, outside the camp, and bear the disgrace he bore.
14For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come.
15Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.
16And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.
18Pray for us, for our conscience is clear and we want to live honorably in everything we do.
19And especially pray that I will be able to come back to you soon.
20Now may the God of peace — who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood —
21may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.

10We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat.
11The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp.
12And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.
13Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.
