Hebrews 13:5-7
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 13
5
Make sure that
your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, 'I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER ABANDON YOU,'
6
so that we confidently say,
'THE
Lord
IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID.
WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?'
7
Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their way of life, imitate their faith.
King James Version
Chapter 13
5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 13
5
Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said,
I will never leave you or abandon you.
6
Therefore, we may boldly say,
The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
7
Remember your leaders who have spoken God’s word to you. As you carefully observe the outcome of their lives, imitate their faith.
New Living Translation
Chapter 13
5
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
'I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.'
6
So we can say with confidence,
'The
Lord
is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?'
7
Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith.
English Standard Version
Chapter 13
5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
6
So we can confidently say,
"The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?"
7
Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.
New International Version
Chapter 13
5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."
6
So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?"
7
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
New King James Version
Chapter 13
5
Let your
conduct
be
without covetousness;
be
content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
6
So we may boldly say:
“The
Lord
is
my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”
7
Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of
their
conduct.
