Chapter 41
35Then have them collect all the food of these good years that are coming, and store up the grain for food in the cities under Pharaoh’s authority, and have them guard it. 36Let the food be used as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which will occur in the land of Egypt, so that the land will not perish during the famine.'
38Then Pharaoh said to his servants, 'Can we find a man like this, in whom there is a divine spirit?'
39So Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you are.
40You shall be in charge of my house, and all my people shall be obedient to you; only regarding the throne will I be greater than you.'
41Pharaoh also said to Joseph, 'See, I have placed you over all the land of Egypt.'
42Then Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand and put it on Joseph’s hand, and clothed him in garments of fine linen, and put the gold necklace around his neck.
43And he had him ride in his second chariot; and they proclaimed ahead of him, 'Bow the knee!' And he placed him over all the land of Egypt.
44Moreover, Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'Though I am Pharaoh, yet without your permission no one shall raise his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt.'
45Then Pharaoh named Joseph Zaphenath-paneah; and he gave him Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, to be his wife. And Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.

35And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine. 37And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants. 38And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 40Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou. 41And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 42And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; 43And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. 44And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. 45And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. Chapter 41
35Let them gather all the excess food during these good years that are coming. Under Pharaoh's authority, store the grain in the cities, so they may preserve it as food. 36The food will be a reserve for the land during the seven years of famine that will take place in the land of Egypt. Then the country will not be wiped out by the famine."
37The proposal pleased Pharaoh and all his servants,
38and he said to them, "Can we find anyone like this, a man who has God's spirit in him? "
39So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one as discerning and wise as you are.
40You will be over my house, and all my people will obey your commands. Only I, as king, will be greater than you."
41Pharaoh also said to Joseph, "See, I am placing you over all the land of Egypt."
42Pharaoh removed his signet ring from his hand and put it on Joseph's hand, clothed him with fine linen garments, and placed a gold chain around his neck.
43He had Joseph ride in his second chariot, and servants called out before him, "Make way! " So he placed him over all the land of Egypt.
44Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I am Pharaoh and no one will be able to raise his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt without your permission."
45Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-paneah and gave him a wife, Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest at On. And Joseph went throughout the land of Egypt.

Chapter 41
35Have them gather all the food produced in the good years that are just ahead and bring it to Pharaoh’s storehouses. Store it away, and guard it so there will be food in the cities. 36That way there will be enough to eat when the seven years of famine come to the land of Egypt. Otherwise this famine will destroy the land.'
37Joseph’s suggestions were well received by Pharaoh and his officials.
38So Pharaoh asked his officials, 'Can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God?'
39Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are.
40You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours.'
41Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'I hereby put you in charge of the entire land of Egypt.'
42Then Pharaoh removed his signet ring from his hand and placed it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in fine linen clothing and hung a gold chain around his neck.
43Then he had Joseph ride in the chariot reserved for his second-in-command. And wherever Joseph went, the command was shouted, 'Kneel down!' So Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of all Egypt.
44And Pharaoh said to him, 'I am Pharaoh, but no one will lift a hand or foot in the entire land of Egypt without your approval.'

37The plan seemed good to Pharaoh and to all his officials.
38So Pharaoh asked them, 'Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God?'
39Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you.
40You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.'
41So Pharaoh said to Joseph, 'I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.'
42Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph's finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.
43He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him, 'Make way!' Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.
