Chapter 14
15Then he divided his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and defeated them, and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is north of Damascus. 16He brought back all the possessions, and also brought back his relative Lot with his possessions, and also the women, and the other people.
17Then after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
18And Melchizedek the king of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God Most High.
20And blessed be God Most High, Who has handed over your enemies to you.' And he gave him a tenth of everything.
21Then the king of Sodom said to Abram, 'Give the people to me and take the possessions for yourself.'
22But Abram said to the king of Sodom, 'I have sworn to the Lord God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth,
23that I will not take a thread or a sandal strap or anything that is yours, so that you do not say, ‘I have made Abram rich.’

15And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus. 16And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.
17And the king of Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the valley of Shaveh, which is the king's dale.
18And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.
19And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
21And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
22And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

19And he blessed him and said, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;
20and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!" And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.
