Matthew 27:61-65
New American Standard Bible
62Now on the next day, that is, the day which is after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together with Pilate,
63and they said, 'Sir, we remember that when that deceiver was still alive, He said, ‘After three days I am rising.’
64Therefore, give orders for the tomb to be made secure until the third day; otherwise, His disciples may come and steal Him, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first.'
65Pilate said to them, 'You have a guard; go, make it as secure as you know how.'
King James Version
62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
64Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
Christian Standard Bible
62The next day, which followed the preparation day, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate
63and said, "Sir, we remember that while this deceiver was still alive he said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’
64So give orders that the tomb be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come, steal him, and tell the people, ‘He has been raised from the dead,’ and the last deception will be worse than the first."
New Living Translation
62The next day, on the Sabbath, the leading priests and Pharisees went to see Pilate.
63They told him, 'Sir, we remember what that deceiver once said while he was still alive: ‘After three days I will rise from the dead.’
64So we request that you seal the tomb until the third day. This will prevent his disciples from coming and stealing his body and then telling everyone he was raised from the dead! If that happens, we’ll be worse off than we were at first.'
English Standard Version
62The next day, that is, after the day of Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered before Pilate
63and said, "Sir, we remember how that impostor said, while he was still alive, ‘After three days I will rise.’
64Therefore order the tomb to be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples go and steal him away and tell the people, ‘He has risen from the dead,’ and the last fraud will be worse than the first."
65Pilate said to them, "You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can."
New International Version

64So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first."
New King James Version
62On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate,
