Heal
the
sick, raise
the
dead, cleanse those with leprosy, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
9
Do not acquire gold, or silver, or copper for your money belts,
10
or a bag for
your
journey, or even two tunics, or sandals, or a staff; for the worker is deserving of his support.
11
And whatever city or village you enter, inquire who is worthy in it, and stay at his house until you leave
that city.
12
As you enter the house, give it your greeting.
13
If the house is worthy,
see that
your
blessing of
peace comes upon it. But if it is not worthy, take back your
blessing of
peace.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10
Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
11
And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
12
And when ye come into an house, salute it.
13
And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

Don’t acquire gold, silver, or copper for your money-belts.

Don’t take a traveling bag for the road, or an extra shirt, sandals, or a staff, for the worker is worthy of his food.

When you enter any town or village, find out who is worthy, and stay there until you leave.

Greet a household when you enter it,

and if the household is worthy, let your peace be on it; but if it is unworthy, let your peace return to you.

Chapter 10
8
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
9
Don’t take any money in your money belts — no gold, silver, or even copper coins.
10
Don’t carry a traveler’s bag with a change of clothes and sandals or even a walking stick. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve to be fed.
11
Whenever you enter a city or village, search for a worthy person and stay in his home until you leave town.
12
When you enter the home, give it your blessing.
13
If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing.
