Chapter 9

44As for you, let these words sink into your ears: for the Son of Man is going to be handed over to men.' 45But they did not understand this statement, and it was concealed from them so that they would not comprehend it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this statement.
46Now an argument started among them as to which of them might be the greatest.

44Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men. 45But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.
46Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.
