Now when the centurion saw what had happened, he

praising God, saying, 'This man was in fact innocent.'

And all the crowds who came together for this spectacle, after watching what had happened,
began
to return
home,
beating their chests.

And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned.

When the centurion saw what happened, he began to glorify God, saying, "This man really was righteous! "

All the crowds that had gathered for this spectacle, when they saw what had taken place, went home, striking their chests.

When the Roman officer overseeing the execution saw what had happened, he worshiped God and said, 'Surely this man was innocent. '

And when all the crowd that came to see the crucifixion saw what had happened, they went home in deep sorrow.
