Luke 21:22-33
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 21
22because these are days of punishment, so that all things which have been written will be fulfilled. 23Woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land, and wrath to this people; 24and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,
26people fainting from fear and the expectation of the things that are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.'
29And He told them a parable: 'Look at the fig tree and all the trees:
30as soon as they put forth leaves, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near.
31So you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.
32Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all things take place.
33Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.
King James Version
Chapter 21
22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

Chapter 21
22because these are days of vengeance to fulfill all the things that are written. 23Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days, for there will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24They will be killed by the sword and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25"Then there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and there will be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring of the sea and the waves.
26People will faint from fear and expectation of the things that are coming on the world, because the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28But when these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near."
29Then he told them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.
30As soon as they put out leaves you can see for yourselves and recognize that summer is already near.
31In the same way, when you see these things happening, recognize that the kingdom of God is near.
32Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all things take place.
33Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
New Living Translation
Chapter 21
22For those will be days of God’s vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled. 23How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days. For there will be disaster in the land and great anger against this people. 24They will be killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the period of the Gentiles comes to an end.
25And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides.
26People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
27Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory.
28So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!'
29Then he gave them this illustration: 'Notice the fig tree, or any other tree.
30When the leaves come out, you know without being told that summer is near.
31In the same way, when you see all these things taking place, you can know that the Kingdom of God is near.
32I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things have taken place.
33Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Chapter 21
22for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written. 23Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people. 24They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25"And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,
26people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
27And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
29And he told them a parable: "Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.
30As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near.
31So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
32Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place.
33Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.

Chapter 21
22For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
26People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
27At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
