And he said, ‘Then I request of you, father, that you send him to my father’s house—
28
for I have five brothers—in order that he may warn them, so that they will not come to this place of torment as well.’

But Abraham *said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’

Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

" 'Father,' he said, 'then I beg you to send him to my father's house--

because I have five brothers--to warn them, so that they won't also come to this place of torment.'

"But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the prophets; they should listen to them.'

Then the rich man said, ‘Please, Father Abraham, at least send him to my father’s home.

For I have five brothers, and I want him to warn them so they don’t end up in this place of torment.’

But Abraham said, ‘Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read what they wrote.’
