Luke 10:8-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 10
8
Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat what is served to you;
9
and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
10
But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,
11
‘Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet we wipe off
in protest
against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’
12
I say to you, it will be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that city.
13
Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that occurred in you had occurred in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
King James Version
Chapter 10
8
And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
9
And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
10
But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,
11
Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
12
But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
13
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 10
8
When you enter any town, and they welcome you, eat the things set before you.
9
Heal the sick who are there, and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near you.’
10
When you enter any town, and they don’t welcome you, go out into its streets and say,
11
‘We are wiping off even the dust of your town that clings to our feet as a witness against you. Know this for certain: The kingdom of God has come near.’
12
I tell you, on that day it will be more tolerable for Sodom than for that town.
13
"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
New Living Translation
Chapter 10
8
If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you.
9
Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’
10
But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say,
11
‘We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this — the Kingdom of God is near!’
12
I assure you, even wicked Sodom will be better off than such a town on judgment day.
13
What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse.
English Standard Version
Chapter 10
8
Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you.
9
Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
10
But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say,
11
‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’
12
I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.
13
"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
New International Version

12
I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.
13
"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
