Hebrews 6:5-8
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 6
5and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. 7For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and produces vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; 8but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned.King James Version
Chapter 6
5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 6
5who tasted God's good word and the powers of the coming age, 6and who have fallen away. This is because, to their own harm, they are recrucifying the Son of God and holding him up to contempt. 7For the ground that drinks the rain that often falls on it and that produces vegetation useful to those for whom it is cultivated receives a blessing from God. 8But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and about to be cursed, and at the end will be burned.New Living Translation
Chapter 6
5who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come — 6and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.English Standard Version
Chapter 6
5and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. 7For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. 8But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.New International Version
