and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
'MY SON, DO NOT REGARD LIGHTLY THE DISCIPLINE OF THE
Lord
,
NOR FAINT WHEN YOU ARE PUNISHED BY HIM;

FOR WHOM THE
Lord
LOVES HE DISCIPLINES,
AND HE PUNISHES EVERY SON WHOM HE ACCEPTS.'

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons:My son, do not take the Lord's discipline lightlyor lose heart when you are reproved by him,

for the Lord disciplines the one he lovesand punishes every son he receives.

And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said,
'My child, don’t make light of the
Lord
’s discipline,
and don’t give up when he corrects you.

Lord
disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.'
