Chapter 31
1
Now Jacob heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, 'Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what belonged to our father he has made all this wealth.'
2
And Jacob saw the attitude of Laban, and behold, it was not
friendly
toward him as
it had been
before.
3
Then the
Lord
said to Jacob, 'Return to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you.'
4
So Jacob sent
word
and called Rachel and Leah to his flock in the field,

Chapter 31
1
And he heard the words of Laban's sons, saying, Jacob hath taken away all that was our father's; and of that which was our father's hath he gotten all this glory.
2
And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.
3
And the
Lord
said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.
4
And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock,

Chapter 31
1
Now Jacob heard what Laban’s sons were saying: "Jacob has taken all that was our father’s and has built this wealth from what belonged to our father."
2
And Jacob saw from Laban’s face that his attitude toward him was not the same as before.
3
The
Lord
said to him, "Go back to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you."
4
Jacob had Rachel and Leah called to the field where his flocks were.

Chapter 31
1
But Jacob soon learned that Laban’s sons were grumbling about him. 'Jacob has robbed our father of everything!' they said. 'He has gained all his wealth at our father’s expense.'

And Jacob began to notice a change in Laban’s attitude toward him.

Then the
Lord
said to Jacob, 'Return to the land of your father and grandfather and to your relatives there, and I will be with you.'
4
So Jacob called Rachel and Leah out to the field where he was watching his flock.

Now Jacob heard that the sons of Laban were saying, "Jacob has taken all that was our father 's, and from what was our father 's he has gained all this wealth."

And Jacob saw that Laban did not regard him with favor as before.

Then the
Lord
said to Jacob, "Return to the land of your fathers and to your kindred, and I will be with you."

So Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah into the field where his flock was
