6
Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan-aram to take to himself a wife from there,
and that
when he blessed him he commanded him, saying, 'You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan,'
7
and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and had gone to Paddan-aram.
8
So Esau saw that the daughters of Canaan displeased his father Isaac;

When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;

And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;
8
And Esau seeing that the daughters of Canaan pleased not Isaac his father;

Esau noticed that Isaac blessed Jacob and sent him to Paddan-aram to get a wife there. When he blessed him, Isaac commanded Jacob, "Do not marry a Canaanite girl."

And Jacob listened to his father and mother and went to Paddan-aram.

Esau realized that his father Isaac disapproved of the Canaanite women,

Esau knew that his father, Isaac, had blessed Jacob and sent him to Paddan-aram to find a wife, and that he had warned Jacob, 'You must not marry a Canaanite woman.'

He also knew that Jacob had obeyed his parents and gone to Paddan-aram.

It was now very clear to Esau that his father did not like the local Canaanite women.
