Exodus 20:11-17
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 20
11
For in six days the
Lord
made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested on the seventh day; for that reason the
Lord
blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
12
Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the
Lord
your God gives you.
13
You shall not murder.
14
You shall not commit adultery.
15
You shall not steal.
16
You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
17
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male slave, or his female slave, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.'
King James Version
Chapter 20
11
For in six days the
Lord
made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the
Lord
blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the
Lord
thy God giveth thee.
13
Thou shalt not kill.
14
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15
Thou shalt not steal.
16
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Christian Standard Bible
