Daniel 8:19-22
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 8
19
And he said, 'Behold, I am going to inform you of what will occur at the final period of the indignation, because
it pertains
to the appointed time of the end.
20
The ram which you saw with the two horns
represents
the kings of Media and Persia.
21
The shaggy goat
represents
the kingdom of Greece, and the large horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22
The broken
horn
and the four
horns that
came up in its place
represent
four kingdoms
which
will arise from
his
nation, although not with his power.
King James Version
Chapter 8
19
And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
20
The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.
21
And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.
22
Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.
Christian Standard Bible
