Daniel 2:20-24

Chapter 2
20Daniel said, 'May the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. 21It is He who changes the times and the periods; He removes kings and appoints kings; He gives wisdom to wise men, And knowledge to people of understanding. 22It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.King James Version
23I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.
24Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.

Chapter 2
20He said, 'Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power. 21He controls the course of world events; he removes kings and sets up other kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars. 22He reveals deep and mysterious things and knows what lies hidden in darkness, though he is surrounded by light. 23I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors, for you have given me wisdom and strength. You have told me what we asked of you and revealed to us what the king demanded.'English Standard Version
