But when he was approaching the age of forty, it entered his mind to visit his countrymen, the sons of Israel.

And when he saw one
of them
being treated unjustly, he defended and took vengeance for the oppressed man by

striking the Egyptian.

One day when Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his relatives, the people of Israel.

He saw an Egyptian mistreating an Israelite. So Moses came to the man’s defense and avenged him, killing the Egyptian.
