Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we
did,

And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.

Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

"Can anyone withhold water and prevent these people from being baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? "

He commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay for a few days.

Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?'

So he gave orders for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Afterward Cornelius asked him to stay with them for several days.
