‘Your son Solomon certainly shall be king after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’

And she said unto him, My lord, thou swarest by the LORD thy God unto thine handmaid,
saying
, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.

Bathsheba knelt low and paid homage to the king, and he asked, "What do you want? "

She replied, "My lord, you swore to your servant by the Lord your God, 'Your son Solomon is to become king after me, and he is the one who is to sit on my throne.'

Bathsheba bowed down before the king. 'What can I do for you?' he asked her.

She replied, 'My lord, you made a vow before the

your God when you said to me, ‘Your son Solomon will surely be the next king and will sit on my throne.’
