The king has also said this: ‘Blessed be the

, the God of Israel, who has granted one to sit on my throne today while my own eyes see
it.

Then all the guests of Adonijah trembled and got up, and each went on his way.
50
Adonijah also was afraid of Solomon, and he got up, and went, and took hold of the horns of the altar.

And also thus said the king, Blessed be the
Lord
God of Israel, which hath given one to sit on my throne this day, mine eyes even seeing it.
49
And all the guests that were with Adonijah were afraid, and rose up, and went every man his way.
50
And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

God of Israel! Today he has provided one to sit on my throne, and I am a witness.’"

Then all of Adonijah’s guests got up trembling and went their separate ways.

Adonijah was afraid of Solomon, so he got up and went to take hold of the horns of the altar.

and he said, ‘Praise the
Lord
, the God of Israel, who today has chosen a successor to sit on my throne while I am still alive to see it.’'

Then all of Adonijah’s guests jumped up in panic from the banquet table and quickly scattered.
50
Adonijah was afraid of Solomon, so he rushed to the sacred tent and grabbed on to the horns of the altar.
