20
And as for you, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are upon you, to announce to them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
21
Otherwise it will come about, as soon as my lord the king lies down with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be
considered
offenders.'
22
And behold, while she was still speaking with the king, Nathan the prophet came in.
23
They informed the king, saying, 'Nathan the prophet is here.' And when he came into the king’s presence, he prostrated himself before the king with his face to the ground.

Chapter 1
20
And thou, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are upon thee, that thou shouldest tell them who shall sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
21
Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted offenders.
22
And, lo, while she yet talked with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in.
23
And they told the king, saying, Behold Nathan the prophet. And when he was come in before the king, he bowed himself before the king with his face to the ground.

Chapter 1
20
Now, my lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you to tell them who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.
21
Otherwise, when my lord the king rests with his fathers, I and my son Solomon will be regarded as criminals."
22
At that moment, while she was still speaking with the king, the prophet Nathan arrived,
23
and it was announced to the king, "The prophet Nathan is here." He came into the king’s presence and paid homage to him with his face to the ground.

Chapter 1
20
And now, my lord the king, all Israel is waiting for you to announce who will become king after you.
21
If you do not act, my son Solomon and I will be treated as criminals as soon as my lord the king has died.'
22
While she was still speaking with the king, Nathan the prophet arrived.
23
The king’s officials told him, 'Nathan the prophet is here to see you.' Nathan went in and bowed before the king with his face to the ground.
