Chapter 10

28But if anyone says to you, 'This is meat sacrificed to idols,' do not eat it, for the sake of that one who informed you and for the sake of conscience; 29Now by 'conscience' I do not mean your own, but the other person’s; for why is my freedom judged by another’s conscience?

28But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:
29Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?

28But if someone says to you, "This is food from a sacrifice," do not eat it, out of consideration for the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. 29I do not mean your own conscience, but the other person’s. For why is my freedom judged by another person’s conscience?
