Romans 10:16-21

Chapter 10

16However, they did not all heed the good news; for Isaiah says, 'Lord, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT?' 17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
18But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? On the contrary: 'THEIR VOICE HAS GONE OUT INTO ALL THE EARTH, AND THEIR WORDS TO THE ENDS OF THE WORLD.'
19But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says, 'I WILL MAKE YOU JEALOUS WITH those who are not a nation, WITH A FOOLISH NATION I WILL ANGER YOU.' 20And Isaiah is very bold and says, 'I WAS FOUND BY THOSE WHO DID NOT SEEK ME, I REVEALED MYSELF TO THOSE WHO DID NOT ASK FOR ME.'
21But as for Israel, He says, 'I HAVE SPREAD OUT MY HANDS ALL DAY LONG TO A DISOBEDIENT AND OBSTINATE PEOPLE.'

16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

18But I ask, "Did they not hear?" Yes, they did: Their voice has gone out to the whole earth, and their words to the ends of the world.
19But I ask, "Did Israel not understand?" First, Moses said, I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that lacks understanding.
20And Isaiah says boldly, I was found by those who were not looking for me; I revealed myself to those who were not asking for me.
21But to Israel he says, All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and defiant people.

Chapter 10

16But not everyone welcomes the Good News, for Isaiah the prophet said, 'Lord, who has believed our message?' 17So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
18But I ask, have the people of Israel actually heard the message? Yes, they have: 'The message has gone throughout the earth, and the words to all the world.'
19But I ask, did the people of Israel really understand? Yes, they did, for even in the time of Moses, God said, 'I will rouse your jealousy through people who are not even a nation. I will provoke your anger through the foolish Gentiles.'
20And later Isaiah spoke boldly for God, saying, 'I was found by people who were not looking for me. I showed myself to those who were not asking for me.'
21But regarding Israel, God said, 'All day long I opened my arms to them, but they were disobedient and rebellious.'

21But concerning Israel he says, "All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people."
