Romans 10:12-20
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 10
12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; 13for 'EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE Lord WILL BE SAVED.'
14How then are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? How are they to believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?
15But how are they to preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written: 'HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS OF GOOD THINGS!'
King James Version
Chapter 10
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 10
12since there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, because the same Lord of all richly blesses all who call on him. 13For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
14How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher?
15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.
16But not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our message?
17So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.
New Living Translation
Chapter 10
12Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13For 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'
14But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?
15And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, 'How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!'
English Standard Version
Chapter 10
12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. 13For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
15And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?"
17So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
New International Version
Chapter 10
12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
14How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
15And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
