Proverbs 3:13-30

Chapter 3
13Blessed is a person who finds wisdom, And one who obtains understanding. 14For her profit is better than the profit of silver, And her produce better than gold. 15She is more precious than jewels, And nothing you desire compares with her. 16 Long life is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor. 17Her ways are pleasant ways, And all her paths are peace. 18She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are those who hold on to her. 19The Lord founded the earth by wisdom, He established the heavens by understanding. 20By His knowledge the ocean depths were burst open, And the clouds drip with dew. 21My son, see that they do not escape from your sight; Comply with sound wisdom and discretion, 22And they will be life to your soul And adornment to your neck. 23Then you will walk in your way securely, And your foot will not stumble. 24When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. 25Do not be afraid of sudden danger, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; 26For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught. 27Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in your power to do it. 28Do not say to your neighbor, 'Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it to you,' When you have it with you. 29Do not devise harm against your neighbor, While he lives securely beside you. 30Do not contend with a person for no reason, If he has done you no harm.King James Version

13Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. 14For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. 15She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. 16Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. 17Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. 18She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. 19The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. 20By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
21My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
22So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
23Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
24When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
25Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
26For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
27Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
28Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
29Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
30Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.

13Happy is a man who finds wisdom and who acquires understanding, 14for she is more profitable than silver, and her revenue is better than gold. 15She is more precious than jewels; nothing you desire can equal her. 16Long life is in her right hand; in her left, riches and honor. 17Her ways are pleasant, and all her paths, peaceful.
18She is a tree of life to those who embrace her, and those who hold on to her are happy.
19The Lord founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding.
20By his knowledge the watery depths broke open, and the clouds dripped with dew.
21Maintain sound wisdom and discretion. My son, don't lose sight of them.
22They will be life for you and adornment for your neck.
23Then you will go safely on your way; your foot will not stumble.
24When you lie down, you will not be afraid; you will lie down, and your sleep will be pleasant.
25Don't fear sudden danger or the ruin of the wicked when it comes,
26for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from a snare.
27When it is in your power, don't withhold good from the one to whom it belongs.
28Don't say to your neighbor, "Go away! Come back later. I'll give it tomorrow"--when it is there with you.
29Don't plan any harm against your neighbor, for he trusts you and lives near you.
30Don't accuse anyone without cause, when he has done you no harm.

Chapter 3
13Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. 14For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. 15Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. 16She offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left. 17She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying. 18Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly.
19By wisdom the Lord founded the earth; by understanding he created the heavens.
20By his knowledge the deep fountains of the earth burst forth, and the dew settles beneath the night sky.
21My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them,
22for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace.
23They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble.
24You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly.
25You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked,
26for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.

21My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion;
22they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck.
23Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.

25Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,
26for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.
