Proverbs 3:8-14

Chapter 3

8It will be healing to your body And refreshment to your bones. 9Honor the Lord from your wealth, And from the first of all your produce; 10Then your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. 11My son, do not reject the discipline of the Lord Or loathe His rebuke, 12For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, Just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights. 13Blessed is a person who finds wisdom, And one who obtains understanding. 14For her profit is better than the profit of silver, And her produce better than gold.

8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
9Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
10So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
11My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:
12For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. 13Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
