Chapter 25

16Have you found honey? Eat only what you need, So that you do not have it in excess and vomit it. 17Let your foot rarely be in your neighbor’s house, Or he will become weary of you and hate you. 18 Like a club, a sword, and a sharp arrow Is a person who gives false testimony against his neighbor.

16Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
17Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.
18A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.

17Seldom set foot in your neighbor’s house; otherwise, he’ll get sick of you and hate you. 18A person giving false testimony against his neighbor is like a club, a sword, or a sharp arrow.

16Do you like honey? Don’t eat too much, or it will make you sick!
17Don’t visit your neighbors too often, or you will wear out your welcome.
