Philippians 4:13-22
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 4
13I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. 14Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my difficulty.
15You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone;
16for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.
17Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek the profit which increases to your account.
18But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
19And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
20Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
King James Version
Chapter 4
13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 14Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. 15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. 16For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. 17Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. 18But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. 19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 4
13I am able to do all things through him who strengthens me. 14Still, you did well by partnering with me in my hardship.
15And you Philippians know that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone.
16For even in Thessalonica you sent gifts for my need several times.
17Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the profit that is increasing to your account.
18But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you provided--a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
19And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
20Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
New Living Translation
Chapter 4
13For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. 14Even so, you have done well to share with me in my present difficulty.
15As you know, you Philippians were the only ones who gave me financial help when I first brought you the Good News and then traveled on from Macedonia. No other church did this.
16Even when I was in Thessalonica you sent help more than once.
17I don’t say this because I want a gift from you. Rather, I want you to receive a reward for your kindness.
18At the moment I have all I need — and more! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me with Epaphroditus. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God.
19And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
English Standard Version
14Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble.
15And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only.
16Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again.
17Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.
18I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.
19And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
20To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
New International Version
14Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles.
15Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only;
16for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need.
17Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account.
18I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
19And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
New King James Version
14Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress.
15Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.
16For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.
17Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.
18Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
19And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
20Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
