Chapter 9
21for she was saying to herself, 'If I only touch His cloak, I will get well.' 22But Jesus, turning and seeing her, said, 'Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.' And at once the woman was made well.
23When Jesus came into the official’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd in noisy disorder,
24He said, 'Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep.' And they began laughing at Him.
25But when the crowd had been sent out, He entered and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.
26And this news spread throughout that land.

21For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. 22But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. 23And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, 24He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. 25But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. 26And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land.Christian Standard Bible
23When Jesus came to the leader's house, he saw the flute players and a crowd lamenting loudly.
24"Leave," he said, "because the girl is not dead but asleep." And they laughed at him.
25After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.
26Then news of this spread throughout that whole area.

23When Jesus arrived at the official’s home, he saw the noisy crowd and heard the funeral music.
24Get out!' he told them. 'The girl isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.' But the crowd laughed at him.
25After the crowd was put outside, however, Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she stood up!
26The report of this miracle swept through the entire countryside.
