New American Standard Bible
Chapter 26
67
Then they spit in His face and beat Him with their fists; and others slapped Him,
68
and said, 'Prophesy to us, You Christ; who is the one who hit You?'
69
Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a slave woman came to him and said, 'You too were with Jesus the Galilean.'
70
But he denied
it
before them all, saying, 'I do not know what you are talking about.'
King James Version
Chapter 26
67
Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote
him
with the palms of their hands,
68
Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?
69
Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
70
But he denied before
them
all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.
