Matthew 13:27-30
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 13
27
And the slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’
28
And he said to them, ‘ An enemy has done this!’ The slaves *said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’
29
But he *said, ‘No; while you are gathering up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.
30
Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, 'First gather up the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.'?’?'
King James Version
Chapter 13
27
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30
Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 13
27
The landowner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Master, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from?’
28
"‘An enemy did this,’ he told them. "‘So, do you want us to go and pull them up?’ the servants asked him.
29
"‘No,’ he said. ‘When you pull up the weeds, you might also uproot the wheat with them.
30
Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I’ll tell the reapers: Gather the weeds first and tie them in bundles to burn them, but collect the wheat in my barn.’"
New Living Translation
Chapter 13
27
The farmer’s workers went to him and said, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?’
28
‘An enemy has done this!’ the farmer exclaimed. '‘Should we pull out the weeds?’ they asked.
29
‘No,’ he replied, ‘you’ll uproot the wheat if you do.
30
Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them, and to put the wheat in the barn.’'
English Standard Version
Chapter 13
27
And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’
28
He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’
29
But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them.
30
Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, "Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn."’"
New International Version
Chapter 13
27
"The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
28

29
" ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.
30
Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ "
