Chapter 13
22And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 23But the one sown with seed on the good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces, some a hundred, some sixty, and some thirty times as much.'
24Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field.
25But while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and left.
26And when the wheat sprouted and produced grain, then the weeds also became evident.
27And the slaves of the landowner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’
28And he said to them, ‘ An enemy has done this!’ The slaves *said to him, ‘Do you want us, then, to go and gather them up?’
29But he *said, ‘No; while you are gathering up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.
30Allow both to grow together until the harvest; and at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, 'First gather up the weeds and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.'?’?'

22He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. 23But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
24Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

24He presented another parable to them: "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field.
25But while people were sleeping, his enemy came, sowed weeds among the wheat, and left.
26When the plants sprouted and produced grain, then the weeds also appeared.
27The landowner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Master, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from?’

22The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. 23The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!'English Standard Version

He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty."
24He put another parable before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field,

27And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’

29But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them.
30Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, "Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn."’"
