But now, do indeed plead for God’s favor, so that He will be gracious to us. With such an offering on your part, will He receive any of you kindly?' says the
Lord
of armies.
10
If only there were one among you who would shut the gates, so that you would not kindle
fire on
My altar for nothing! I am not pleased with you,' says the
Lord
of armies, 'nor will I accept an offering from your hand.
King James Version

Lord
of hosts.
10
Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the
Lord
of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
Christian Standard Bible

Lord
of Armies.
10
"I wish one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would no longer kindle a useless fire on my altar! I am not pleased with you," says the
Lord
of Armies, "and I will accept no offering from your hands.
New Living Translation
Chapter 1

Go ahead, beg God to be merciful to you! But when you bring that kind of offering, why should he show you any favor at all?' asks the
Lord
of Heaven’s Armies.
10
How I wish one of you would shut the Temple doors so that these worthless sacrifices could not be offered! I am not pleased with you,' says the
Lord
of Heaven’s Armies, 'and I will not accept your offerings.
English Standard Version

And now entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, will he show favor to any of you? says the
Lord
of hosts.

Oh that there were one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says the
Lord
of hosts, and I will not accept an offering from your hand.
