Chapter 11
30
And Jephthah made a vow to the
Lord
and said, 'If You will indeed hand over to me the sons of Ammon,
31
then whatever comes out the doors of my house to meet me when I return safely from the sons of Ammon, it shall be the
Lord
’S, and I will offer it up as a burnt offering.'
32
So Jephthah crossed over to the sons of Ammon to fight against them; and the
Lord
handed them over to him.

And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the
Lord
, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands,
31
Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the
Lord
'S, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.
32
So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the
Lord
delivered them into his hands.

Jephthah made this vow to the
Lord
: "If you in fact hand over the Ammonites to me,

whoever comes out the doors of my house to greet me when I return safely from the Ammonites will belong to the
Lord
, and I will offer that person as a burnt offering."

Jephthah crossed over to the Ammonites to fight against them, and the
Lord
handed them over to him.

And Jephthah made a vow to the
Lord
. He said, 'If you give me victory over the Ammonites,

I will give to the
Lord
whatever comes out of my house to meet me when I return in triumph. I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.'

So Jephthah led his army against the Ammonites, and the
Lord
gave him victory.
