Chapter 2

9'Therefore I will still contend with you,' declares the Lord, 'And I will contend with your sons’ sons. 10For cross to the coastlands of Kittim and see, And send to Kedar and observe closely, And see if there has been anything like this! 11Has a nation changed gods, When they were not gods? But My people have exchanged their glory For that which is of no benefit.

9Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the Lord, and with your children's children will I plead.
10For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.
11Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.
