Jeremiah 2:5

ESV Thus says the Lord: "What wrong did your fathers find in me that they went far from me, and went after worthlessness, and became worthless?
NIV This is what the Lord says: "What fault did your ancestors find in me, that they strayed so far from me? They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves.
NASB This is what the Lord says: 'What injustice did your fathers find in Me, That they went far from Me, And walked after emptiness and became empty?
