Hebrews 3:3-6
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
3
For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.
4
For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.
5
Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken
later;
6
but Christ
was faithful
as a Son over His house—whose house we are, if we hold firmly to our confidence and the boast of our hope.
King James Version
Chapter 3
3
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 3
3
For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house.
4
Now every house is built by someone, but the one who built everything is God.
5
Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.
6
But Christ was faithful as a Son over his household. And we are that household if we hold on to our confidence and the hope in which we boast.
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
3
But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a house deserves more praise than the house itself.
4
For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.
5
Moses was certainly faithful in God’s house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later.
6
But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.
English Standard Version
Chapter 3
3
For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses — as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.
4
(For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.)
5
Now Moses was faithful in all God 's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later,
6
but Christ is faithful over God 's house as a son. And we are his house, if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.
New International Version
Chapter 3
3
Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself.
4
For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.
5
"Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house," bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future.
6
But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
New King James Version
Chapter 3
3
For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.
4
For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things
is
God.
5
And Moses indeed
was
faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken
afterward,
6
but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
