New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
13
And again,
'I WILL PUT MY TRUST IN HIM.'
And again,
'BEHOLD, I AND THE CHILDREN WHOM
God
HAS GIVEN ME.'
14
Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, so that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
King James Version
Chapter 2
13
And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
14
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 2
13
Again, I will trust in him. And again, Here I am with the children God gave me.
14
Now since the children have flesh and blood in common, Jesus also shared in these, so that through his death he might destroy the one holding the power of death--that is, the devil--
New Living Translation
Chapter 2
13
He also said,
'I will put my trust in him,'
that is, 'I and the children God has given me.'
14
Because God’s children are human beings — made of flesh and blood — the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
English Standard Version
Chapter 2

14
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil,
New International Version
Chapter 2
13
And again, 'I will put my trust in him.' And again he says, 'Here am I, and the children God has given me.'
14
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--
New King James Version
Chapter 2
13
And again:
“I will put My trust in Him.”
And again:
“Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.”
