Galatians 1:9-14
New American Standard Bible
King James Version
10For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
11But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
14And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
Christian Standard Bible
New Living Translation
English Standard Version
11For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel.
12For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
13For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it.
14And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers.
