Exodus 10:19-21
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 10
19
So the
Lord
shifted
the wind
to a very strong west wind, which picked up the locusts and drove them into the Red Sea; not one locust was left in all the territory of Egypt.
20
But the
Lord
hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the sons of Israel go.
21
Then the
Lord
said to Moses, 'Reach out with your hand toward the sky, so that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even a darkness which may be felt.'
King James Version
Chapter 10
19
And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.
20
But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.
21
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness
which
may be felt.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 10
19
Then the Lord changed the wind to a strong west wind, and it carried off the locusts and blew them into the Red Sea. Not a single locust was left in all the territory of Egypt.
20
But the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the Israelites go.
21
Then the Lord said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward heaven, and there will be darkness over the land of Egypt, a darkness that can be felt."
New Living Translation
Chapter 10
19
The
Lord
responded by shifting the wind, and the strong west wind blew the locusts into the Red Sea. Not a single locust remained in all the land of Egypt.
20
But the
Lord
hardened Pharaoh’s heart again, so he refused to let the people go.
21
Then the
Lord
said to Moses, 'Lift your hand toward heaven, and the land of Egypt will be covered with a darkness so thick you can feel it.'
English Standard Version
